PMW Is Church For You

What about membership in a local church?  Several things are prominent: you make a public testimony of your Christian (and Lutheran) faith; bind yourself to brothers and sisters in Christ with a common vision and mission; indicate a willingness to be active in ministry and supportive of leadership; and you honor God’s design of drawing His people together.  While we each have a personal faith, Christianity is not a “private religion”; it is a communal body – the Body of Christ.

At Lutheran Church of the Risen Savior, there are different “classifications” of membership – as at most churches.  Members are received through Holy Baptism; transfer from another Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod church; adult confirmation/profession of faith; or renewal of prior confession.  We, as many churches in the south and southwest, also have an “associate membership” for those who wish to keep their Lutheran church membership “back home,” but want to feel a real part of the congregation here.

Please contact us if you have interest, questions or simply wish more information.  Some join after completing our "Living Discipleship" course, with a better understanding of LCMS.  This is our “basic” course of Christian beliefs / Lutheran doctrine.   LD is “open” to non-members, members, seasonal guests – anyone!
Church membership is a blessing to you and to other members.  Please give thought and prayer toward your decision.
"Just as there are many parts to our bodies, so it is with Christ's body.
We are all parts of it, and it takes every one of us to make it complete,
for we each have different work to do.  So we belong to each other,
and each needs all the others."
Romans  12:5 (TLB)
